Myomin Research

Myomin is an all natural oral herbal formula containing the herbs Aralia Dasyphylla, Smilax glabra, Curcuma zedoria, and Cyperus rotundus. It is effective for estrogen related conditions such as cysts, fibroids, tumors and even belly fat. It is a very safe formula with a LD (lethal dose)50 of 10.15 g/kg. Myomin has three functions:

 

* It inhibits the aromatase enzyme, preventing the conversion of androgens to estrone and estradiol and allowing testosterone and estriol (the good estrogen) to accumulate).

* It competes with estradiol at the estrogen receptors, to help inhibit proliferation of cells and abnormal tissue growth.

* It increases interferon (IFN) and interleukin-2 (IL-2), enhancing the body's ability to fight tumor cells.

 

A study from Chang Hai Hospital in China involved 75 cases of fibrcystic breasts (70 women and 5 men). Sixty five percent of the women were under 35 years old. In 14 cases, the fibrocystic breast completely cleared after 1 month of taking Myomin while, in 16 cases the fobrocystic breast reduced by 50% in size. Among the five men in the study, the cysts cleared completely in three cases.

 

Inhibiting aromatase plays an important role in suppressing the deleterious action of estrogen on hormone related conditions in both men and women. Specifically, aromatase converts androstenedione into estrone and testosterone into estradiol. Evidence shows that breast cancer and prostate cancer tissue overexpress aromatase. An in vivo study demonstrates that Myomin inhibits the aromatase enzyme in the ectopic endometrium and ovarian tissue of rats. After 28 days on Myomin, aromatase expression reduced by 100% in the endometrium and 85.6% in the ovary.

 

Myomin also helps reduce abdominal fat. Obesity, especialy abdominal obesity, is associated with decreased testosterone levels (or hypogonadanism) and increased estradiol levels. This leads to the deposition of fat in the abdomen. As fat accumulates, aromatase activity increases at the site, causing more testosterone to be converted into estradiol. Myomin disrupts this process, reversing testosterone levels and reducing estradiol. As a result, abdominal fat will eventually decrease.

 

It is important to note that those supplementing with hormones such as progesterone, testosterone or DHEA need to take Myomin for preventing estrogen-dominant disorders. These hormones are precursors to estrogen. Therefore, supplementing with them increases the risk for elevated estrgen levels and, as a consequence, estrogen related disorders.

 

* D Smith, DC fromCO, has a 62 year old female patient that was given progesterone and estrogen after menopause in 2000. In 2001, a 2-1/2 cm meningioma (brain tumor) was found. Around 2003, she was given more progesterone due to vaginal bleeding. The bleeding stopped but she developed a breast tumor and, her meningioma grew to 5 cm. (Meningiomas have progesterone receptors which could account for the growth in tumor size.) Then she used Myomin instead. After a year, the breast tumor is gone and the meningioma has reduced to 2-1/2 cm.

* L Mann, OMD from CA, has a 42 year old female patient with an estradiol level of 690 in September 2003 and also had high levels of progesterone and testosterone. A mommogram found that she had a very invasive ductal carcinoma in situ in the left breast. She had a lumpectomy and after 4 months on Myomin, Angiostop and Revivin her astradiol reduced to 35. She is now cancer negative.

* Jonathan Wright, MD from WA, has a male patient who shared: "Thank you, regarding your Myomin product, it has sharply dropped my estrogen levels. Dr Wright in Seattle put me on it and is pleased with the results. Chrysin did not work for me."

* Y Dikansky, DDS from NY, has a 38 year old patient with an ovarian cyst for 8 years. The cysts was 3.7x6x2. After 3 months on Myomin, the cysts cleared.

* J Stickel, DC fromIA, reports on a patient with uterine fibroids and colon polyps. Afer taking Myomin for 3 months, her uterine fibroids and polyps had completely disappeared.

* W Stimack, NMD from IN, has a 29 year olf female patient with 12 fibroids that made her appear 8 months pregnant. The fibroids cleared after 5 months on Myomin.

* G Steiner, PhD from CA, has a patient with prostate cancer with a PSA of 14. After taking Myomin and Angiostop for 3 months, his PSA level decreased to 8.2. His urination flow is very much improved and his sexual relations are better.

* S Young, ND from CO, has a 38 year old female patient with colloid cyst on her thyroid. Her regular MD wanted to give her prescriptions to shut down her thyroid "and see what would happen." She tried Myomin instead and the cyst was gone in 3 weeks.

*A Schwartz, DC from PA, has a 2-1/2 year old boy with very rare Type 2 neurofibromatosis. Two ere found in the brain when he was one years old and another one was found in March 2003. Then he took Myomin (weight dependent). Three months alter, his MRI showed that the neurofibromatosis has stabilized. No Angiostop and Revivin were given because the patient was too young.
